have always manufactured in a socially responsible environment, and this has been very important to us since day one; long before the term "social responsibility" became the new catch phrase.

A significant investment was made to travel the world to find an ethical manufacturing partner for our eco friendly bags and in the end we chose to invest in a manufacturing partnership in China, and quite frankly this was the best commercial decision we ever made.

Our manufacturing partners are a strong supporter of Fair Wage & Labor, and we have worked with labor unions in our factory for many years, ensuring that we do comply with national & local labor laws.  We provide salary which is much higher than China's minimum standard, all employees are treated equally, regardless of sex, religion or politics. The standard working day is based on 8 hours, if there is a need for longer; then it is through negotiation and overtime payments. We never tolerate verbal, physical or sexual abuse of our staff, and would never employ child labor.

With the growth of our business; 2006 saw us move into our modern newly equipped manufacturing facility. The owners of our company maintain a strong working relationship with our manufacturing partners in China, which has developed over the years into a close family friendship, with Palmina & Colin Stephenson regularly visiting the factory many times per year.
